I was reading a Womans' Day magazine, all the nice articles, finally the penpals section, all these ladies wanting to write and make new friends, so I decided to try.

I wrote to a few, a couple af weeks later, I received a letter from 2 of them, they were from my area, they invited me for lunch. There was a group of about 10 ladies who wrote to other people.

We met once a month at a restaurant or one of them will have a potluck at her house, it was a lot of fun.

I decided to have more pals, one from the Philipines, Belgium, France, Canada, U.S.Indian Ocean, for 5 to 13 years. It is fun to know and learn about their countries, traditions, hobbies. We exchange postcards if they wish.

I am very glad I started this hobby. We share our travel adventures too. This is wonderful.
