California Mountains

My name is Orianna. I am 8 years old and I am going into the 4th grade.

I live very far north in California about an hour from the Redwood forest.

My yard has a lot of trees and a brook. We also live very close to the Trinity River and about an hour from the Pacific Ocean. We live in the Shasta Trinity National Forest and we have beautiful mountains all around us. It is hot in the summer and rains a lot in the fall.

Sometimes we get snow but there is always snow on the mountains in the winter.

Hi Orianna my name is Arianna. i know right we have similar names!! I live in Sacramento, California. Here it's sometimes warm in the winter but this morning it was rainy and cold but it gets warmer by the minute! By the way im ten years old and going into 6th grade this year. Hi Orianna,
I'm Ruth Baker a grandmother age 58 years old with grandchildren near your age. I grew up in California in a little town called Bell Gardens, in Los Angeles County.

I remember all those wonderful trips to the California mountains with my parents back in the 1950's & 1960's.

Your blog made me remember those wonderful road trips and how fun they were. Also I have been reading and studying up in the travels of my great grandparents and found out they once lived in Shasta, California many years ago back in the late 1800's.

Anyway honey enjoy the beautiful mountains and your young life so full with rich and good experiences in the years to come.
