My Special Pen Friend

I have a pen friend I've been writing to since 2005. We share laughs, tears, and sadness together. We have become so close that we now share phone calls to each other. When one of us suffers, we both suffer! When one of us laughs, we both laugh.

What a way to enjoy a pen friend. Our letters to each other are never broken by mishaps in our family lives. She has children and a grandchild, I have three cat children - that does not stop us from sharing stories about children and/or animals. She shares her life with me 100%....and I do the same with her. We pull no punches, we always speak our minds. We send little gifts to each other through the mail - it may be silly - but it is something we know the other one will enjoy. We love to decorate our envelopes. I cannot draw, so I use stickers. Sometimes she draws on her envelopes to me.
I always put beautiful pictures, graphics or photos on my letters and sometimes I use them as a watermark. Her handwriting is impecable. We knew from the start that if one of us could not read the others handwriting, one or both of us would type our letters - thus I type mine and believe me it saves her eyesight from harm and/or laughter. I don't know what I would do without this wonderful woman from MA in my life.
Everyone should have such an individual as a pal. I thank God every day that I found her! My pal, my ears, my eyes, my love, my friend! Friendships come and friendships go - this friendship is here to stay.
