Lost Pen Pal: Julia Mead from Huddersfield, Yorkshire, UK

We started writing in 1979 and I visited Julia and her familiy (2 younger brothers, 1 younger sister) in the summer of 1980.

She lived in Huddersfield, 179 church street back then. First of all we spent a week in Blackpool together, the rest of the July and August, I stayed in the family's home with Julia, her brothers and sisters, her mum who was a bus driver and her dad who drove an ice cream van.

Her Grandma originally came from Germany, so we talked a bit about that as well. In 1981 Julia visited me in my village near Frankfurt/Main.

Shortly after that I lost the contact, because she left her home to stay with her boyfriend. A friend from school told me so. It would be great to hear what happened to her.

I live in Hamburg; Germany now. (Heike, 46 years of age)
