LOST PEN PAL: Eugene Trotter from America

I am Josephine Tey from Kenya. I met my penpal Eugene Trotter from a sunday standard newspaper in the year 1987 when i was in high school and 16 years old. By then Eugene Trotter was 55 years.

When i completed my fourth form i lost all my belongings when the school dormitories burnt down and since then i am wondering how i can get in contact with Eugene Trotter.

We used to communicate by snail mail because by then the internet staff had not spread all over as now. Please help me locate Eugene Trotter.

I don't remember exactly which side of America.
