My name is (still) Kim West, and I was living in AL at the time Elena and I began writing. We are about the same age (I was born in 1965).

We were teenagers during the years we were writing, about 4 or 5 years in the early-to-mid 80s.

We lost touch after my responses to two of her letters failed to reach her. I'd love to get back in touch with her again!
