Letter Length, with or without content?

by Karen
(Missoula,MT USA)

Our English teacher once had us write letters to each other, and then comment to the entire class on the letter we received, without saying who wrote it.

That is when it became important to me to develop the skill. My blunt, or timid letter pals receive a form for them to fill out requiring a certain number of words per line. Some have dropped out, others have found it fun and helpful in seeing the way to write in a way they found more interesting.

I have one pal who is a stroke patient and
this helps him remember things and ways to say them. I know we don't all have time for this, but it is a way to help, maybe.
