length of letters

I like both short letters and long letters. I think it all depends on what is happening in their lives at the moment. Sometimes they have time to write a lot and other times its just a quick note to stay in touch.
The important thing is to be in touch with your pen pals one way or another.
Its not always easy to know what to write at all. But tell them about your daily lives and what you do and what you enjoy in your life. Other than saying I like to read books, talk about the type of books you enjoy and what you are reading at the moment. Maybe they would like to read the book too?
Tell them about your hobbies and describe them as they may not know about them at all. They may enjoy them too if they knew more about them.
What do you like to fix for meals and snacks? Share some recipes and ideas for them to try.
what is your favorite season of the year? What makes it special to you? Ask them what they feel about it too.
Tell them about your family and friends in your life.
They may do the same thing when they write to you back.
Make a favorites list and share with them. Its one way to learn more about them for sure. Their fun to write and fun to receive too. Make one copy for your favorites and make a blank copy for them to fill in and return to you.
