My mom wants to know why we have to pay for this? Like what do you use the money for?

Wendy's reply: You don't have to pay for anything.. if your parent agrees, you can simply send in an ad and we'll match you with other kids. They will send snail mail letters to you.. that you can share with your mom, and she can help you write back.

You can, if you want, buy your own Pen Pal list.. we match you to kids your age, etc.. but you don't have to go that way.
