EVESHAM, ENGLAND

There is alot of uncertainty in our culture just now.
We have an escalating unemployment problem combined with a large influx of immigrants. This is definitely creating tensions and unfortunately it's generating a shift in voting patterns with traditionally left-wing working class areas becoming overtly racist.
I live in a particularly beautiful part of England but this is spoiled somewhat by a degree of anti-social behaviour. I am often awakened at night by people returning home from pubs and clubs, the worse for alchohol.
I don't want to paint a negative picture, there is alot to be thankful for - the climate is temperate, we have an excellent welfare system so nobody starves; the health care is pretty good and free. My main regret is that people have to pay alot of tax from their earnings and as more people come here and unemployment increases the burden on wage-earners will increase.
But this is still a beautiful, relatively safe, stable country where people are reasonably free to live the way they choose.
So all in all its not too bad!
