Antosha Holendro
from Moscow, Russia

by Shellie
(Manteca, CA, USA)

In 1993/4, when I was a 8, Antosha's mother came to the States and stayed with my grandparents in Livermore, CA.

His mother and my grandpa set us up to be pen pals since we were the same age. We sent letters back and forth over the next few years.

He was so sweet and even sent a package with Russian nesting dolls, a magazine, chocolate, Russian coins, a decorative spoon, a large decorative pencil, a brooch, and a pin from the magazine his mother worked for. I took the items to school to show my class during show-and-tell.

We lost touch during the late 90s, when we both became teenagers.

I would love to regain contact with my childhood friend.
