I really love the internet – both email communications and websites too! In the beginning, I used to do the html coding – I should have hired someone to do that, it’s not something that any beginner should try. As a small hobby business, I just couldn’t afford the web designer fees. Soon afterwards, Front page by Microsoft (and lots of other software programs designed to make pages on the internet easier) were purchased by newbie webmasters like me. I was thrilled. Unfortunately, the website design often got totally goofy and there was no way that I could fix it. FrontPage and others seemed to be the only alternative for do-it-yourself people like me -- and I lived with that – happy enough that I had a web site. But I could have done lots more....
Now here is a busy mom with Kids and how she built a website for fun and a stay-at-home income too!
Back to me... the problem is that even after ten years of having a website, I still had very few visitors compared to the big guys. Hey, I did all this work, I know there are lots of ladies that would love to find new friends, but how do I find them to see what this hobby is all about? One day when I visited the SBI website, I read about Juggle Now Website (and no, I don’t juggle!) I thought if they can do THAT with juggling, just think what I can do with the hobby of pen pals! I am so glad that I made that big decision that day! That first $300 was so well worth it! Finally, my new website – Friendship-by-mail.com - was made with a totally cool website system called Site Build It. I used SBI to format the Friendship-By-Mail.com website and to get the website into the search engines so that I can find visitors.
If you have a hobby website or are considering one, let me tell you why SBI is tops in my book! This next HOBBIES link sold me as I can see that other folks with any hobby can actually get visitors with this website builder (worked for me!)
I have visited the SBI pages many, many, many times over the years – but the $299 price tag always held me back. I now know that you get what you pay for – I’m a cheapo at heart, always have been, and always will be -- but when you are dealing with the internet, a website is not enough. The problem is that you can have the most fabulous website, creating the most informative page that millions are seeking – and yet, you get few visitors. That was me – inkytrails.com. Yes, yes, you likely won’t believe me until you’ve done it yourself – I got lots of visitors but not enough.
This woman does a website on needlework. She had to quit work for health reasons and was bored and not content with her life.... many retirees use SBI as well as you don't need to know web codes at all! Just passing this along.. I can't help but do this as I sooo love this system. It's just extraordinary and if you follow their guide, step by step, taking your time... you will succeed. AND have a BALL using your brain and writing talents (all pen pals are writers, aren't we?) too!
